What's new?

what you see is what you did
now also for pebble round

"See what you did" was the idea of HeathWatch. Configure GraphInfoPanels showing you the step, activity, calories, distance or motion data recorded by your pebble you are interested in.

Pebble steps into the health market by providing a health monitoring. Under the cover – assuming the function is enabled in the pebble health app settings – algorithms detect steps, more vigorous movements resulting in a higher VMC value, activity as well as restful calories consumption, sleep as well as restful sleep phases.

The new Watchface provides all this data to you put into configurable graphs. It’s up to you, what values over the time are interesting for you.

In particular the step count over the day is shown rated by a (funny) icon showing you e.g. a fat cat sitting in front if its TV, in case a low step count was measured. ;)

In addition the weather of your current location or a preconfigured fixed location is always shown. Also the time, the date in nearly any language is provided. Russian support was added lastly.

Yes, the app will cost small money - is subject to a fee. Anyway you will get a full featured license for at least on day free of charge – so give it a try.

Note: In case you’ve still paid your fee, it remains valid! No need to do anything. :)

Be aware that it's a hard work to develop such an app and a fee is a kind of 'thank you' for hundreds of hours the developer spend.

Click here to find the app in the pebble market.

In case you lost the link to the paypal button to pay your fee, here it is. ;)

Functionality

  • Daily step/ distance service: Track you daily steps as well as your estimated distance. See the max as well as min values over the last week. Enjoy the rating in terms of a (funny) icon. The time left hand side on the bottom shows the last update timestamp of the health data.
  • Activity service: Two graphs represent the step as well as the vigorous movement rate over the days/ during a tree hour timeframe.
Note: A detailed documentation of the activity graphs can be found below tab "howto" or in the section "Activity Configuration" in the settings - press the corresponding "howto" button.
  • Daily calorie consumtion service: Track you daily active calorie consumtion. See the max as well as min values over the last week. Enjoy the rating in terms of a (funny) icon. The time left hand side on the bottom shows the last update timestamp of the health data.
  • Calories service: Two graphs represent the activity as well as the restful calories consumption.
Note: A detailed documentation of the calories graphs can be found below tab "howto" or in the section "Calories Configuration" in the settings - press the corresponding "howto" button.
  • Health service: A graphs represent the step rate as well as the summarized time of activity over the last two weeks. On other graph depicts the sleep periods and in particular the restful sleep phases.
Note: A detailed documentation of the health graphs can be found below tab "howto" or in the section "Health Configuration" in the settings - press the corresponding "howto" button.
  • Time and date service: The day, time, CW and date in nearly every language is shown. Currently up to 19 languages are supported.
Note: Maybe some translations are missing. But in case you provide your translation to me I will update the corresponding language resource file. It's also possible to add new language files. Don't hesitate and tell me what is missing.
  • Current weather service: The actual weather (incl. the expected max/ min temperature) for a fixed or GPS dependent location is shown.
  • Weather forecast service: The forecast is broken down into 3 hour steps of either today, today and next day or today and the next two days. It’s split into a sun information (e.g. temperature and expected sunshine duration) and a rain information (e.g. rain probability and amount).
Note: A detailed documentation of the weather forecast graphs can be found below tab "howto" or in the section "Weather Configuration" in the settings - press the corresponding "howto" button.
Note: The time of the last weather update as well as the corresponding weather location can be found respective left and right hand side as part of the current weather InfoPanel.
  • Notification service: You can be informed every 15 minutes, every 30 minutes or every hour by a short vibration.
  • Bluetooth info service: Get informed by a short vibration in case the Bluetooth connection gets lost.
Note: If you don't like it, you can deactivate it in the settings. But sometimes it's useful because you get feedback if you are going to lose your smartphone. ;)
  • Network service: In case errors occur during data transfer between smartphone and pebble, a corresponding message will be shown.
Note: Have a glance at the progress bar in the bottom of your screen, In case an "error" occurs it's drawn bold.

Howto

The graph with the sun shows for timeframes of 3 hours over two days the sun minutes (bar) as well as the expected temperature (line).
The graph with the cloud shows for timeframes of 3 hours over the day the rain amount (bar) as well as the rain probability (line).
The graph with the green man shows for timeframes of 3 hours over max two days the measured step count (bar) as well as the measured vigorous movement alias VMC (line).
The graph with a 10 minutes scale over the current 3 hours timeframe shows quite the same but in more detailed.
The graph with the red step icon shows for the last days the measured step count (bar) as well as the measured overall activity in minutes (line).
The graph with the blue bed icon shows for the last days the measured sleep minutes (bar) and the amount of restful sleep in minutes (line).

The Panels

Beside the "TimePanel" two further panels are provided: The middle panel is a small one (alias "FixedPanel") the bottom panel is a big one (alias "InfoPanel").

The small FixedPanel was - as the name still says - intended as a static panel. You can choose between information such as course of the sun, weather forecast, current activity or health data values.

The big Panel at the bottom provides different InfoPanels. Means it's a dynamic and fully configurable content layer. The content either changes (preconfigured) every 60 secs, by tap or by accelerator control. In later case a simple turn of your wrist will switch to the next available content.

Note: A detailed usage documentation of the accelerator control can be found in the section "InfoPanel Configuration" - press the corresponding "howto" button.

The Settings

A settings dialog is provided in the pebble app. It offers a brunch of settings - nearly everything is configurable. In particular you can configure the InfoPanel switch duration, enable/ disable accelerator control, your individual language, a color scheme, graph sizes etc..

It’s worth mentioning that the visibility of InfoPanels can be configured. Have a glance to the "Service Configuration" section for all properties in regard to this topic. You have an opportunity to disable e.g.  the daily step count, activity graphs and/ or the weather forecast InfoPanels in general.

In particular the weather configuration should be taken into account.

You have to select a fixed weather location because it's a fallback in case GPS can't locate you. To ease the configuration of your fixed location you can search either per name token or by GPS a weather station near to you.

Per default the GPS location is used to show an individual weather/ weather forecast. This can be disabled by enabling "Only fix location" in the settings. As a result only the configured fixed location is shown - your GPS location isn't used any more.

Note: You will find GPS options. Normally there is no need to change the options! Only in case your GPS can't reliable find your location, you can adapt the properties "accuracy", "timeout" and "cache time" of your GPS device appropriate.

Note: In case you want to change the "switch duration" of graphs you have to change the "Switch duration" below the "InfoPanel Configuration" section.
